sound problems!!

My blues band "West Ella" just got a gig playing in an old Home Depot style building. A HUGE box. During set up and sound check the echo was so bad we couldnt differentiate between the keyboards, guitars, etc. Our normaly tight sound turned to mush. Sound man at the console just shook his head and said it's hopeless. Anybody here have any ideas? Speaker placement, volume settings, voodoo rituals, animal sacrifices; I think I would rather not play here than sound like .....

Hopefully you'll have a full house. Having tons of people in the audience will help absorb a lot of that echo.

I forgot to mention; this big box will be filled with Cars to be sold with car buying shoppers in attendance. Oh well, 1k tobe split 5 ways for a 4 hr set;
Could be fun anyway. We'll just chalk it up to experience. Better than playing for mean drunks and bar owners that don't pay!! Peace!

sound fix!

To improve our sound in the "big box" we opted for the voodoo ritual, animal sacrifice. Worked great! The only complaint we got was from the chicken.

Just jokin, we loves' chickin.
