Which movie should I review?

I need to write an 800 word review on any movie. I've narrowed it down to...

-The Mummy Returns (bad review)

-The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (positive review)

I'd prefer to review a movie that I'm familiar with, so no other suggestions please.

From your experience, is it easier to write bad reviews or positive reviews?

I would say which ever one you feel stronger about. Do you like Lord of the Rings more than you dislike The Mummy Returns?

LOTR's massive plot and scale can fill up 800 words real quick. But then going off on the Mummy Returns could be fun too, while staying within guidelines of the paper, assignment, or whatever. B. Frasier's cheesy acting is a bit of subject matter itself, open to comparisons, similes, and analogies.

The audience will take more notice of a negative report, so maybe doing a negative report will ultimatly mean you'll score higher overall.

Thanks guys,

I've decided to do a negative one, because I really do feel strongly that The Mummy Returns SUCKED. In fact, I will probably enjow writing it, cuz I can just bag the movie. It would also be easier to include humour in a bad review!

Good choice, and yes, you can use sarcasm frequently during negative reviews, which isn't a bad thing!

So... anyone have any ideas?
So far I'm gonna mention:

-cheesy lines
-horror and cheesy comedy don't go well together
-abundance of pointless scenes that do not have anything to do with the story
-acting is unconvincing
-whole script is superficial and has very little depth
-little boy is given a script that doesnt match his age
-plot is full of holes and there is no real reasoning/logical explanation behind any of it
-plot is inconsistant with the original
-lame special effects
-lots of unintentional humour (i was ROFLMFAO at the "scorpion king")
-its just your average second-rate sequal

So does anyone have anymore suggestions?
