I'm number 2 at Soundclick Jazz chart
My slide guitar version of Misty has made it to #2 on the Soundclick Jazz charts ... and I'm not even a jazz player!
http://www.soundclick.com/kirklorange is the page, it streams when you get there. I do realize that Soundclick ain't going to make or break anyone, but ... hey! I'm chuffed nonetheless. Have a listen so it'll get to #1.

Tell ya what, man, I LOVE the fusion-style tone you've got here! Great take on this song! My only suggestion would be a little more variation and improvisation around the melody. But this was a great interpretation. Fantastic! Gonna listen to the rest of your stuff! And PLEASE E-mail me the backing to Chili Con Fusion! I MUST jam with it! (and tell me what scale or mode you're using, I'd like to build around your melody)

Thanks Jolly ... I'll have a look for that track. I may not have kept it.
I wouldn't have any idea what scale or mode I use, I don't think along those lines. I'm strictly a melody maker, and I do that playing in and around chord tones.

Cool, yeah, I knew a guy who built around chord tones, that's cool as hell, man. Anyhow, when you do find it, my e-mail address is "ecbenedi@colby.edu" I'll just figure it out by ear and find some wacky way to play along. What key are you in/what ARE the chord tones?

you're kirk lorange? you have a website don't you? hah yeah I think you do! I used it to get started playing guitar several months ago! thanks man! by the way I liked that song! and I'm not real big on jazz so thats saying something there!
