metalfaithfull has made some friends around here
will this make a big enough difference?

I have an epiphone fat-210 black not a very expensive guitar at all. I was wondering if a really good bridge pickup put into it will make a dramatic diffrence from it's at the moment characterless and tonless sound ,im pretty sure it wouldn't be worth it but i decided to ask those who maybe would know thanks
oh yeah the rest of my equipment is good so it's not that.

What does it sound like unplugged, on it's own, without an amp?

Even a great pickup can only work with what the guitar starts out with. A guitar that doesn't sound good on it's own will just get louder when you plug it in. If it has a good sound, the right pickup can bring that out for you.
