I think the dvd's is a great idea. Now you get to reach people who wants to learn online with monthly payments and the ones who prefer one payment and enjoy the lessons on there tv without monthly payments. Double the student and offcourse the money
In the end it's all about what motivates you the most. Personally I prefer monthly payments and access to the site but occasionally I go buy dvd's on licklibrary.com. If GT manages to combine both, I will be very pleased. I'm pretty sure we will be seeing other dvds in the futur if this one sells well
Keep up the great work GT folks!

I just got the email encouraging me to buy the new Blues Learning System DVD set. Looks enticing since blues is where my interest lies.
But how is this any different than just going through the Core Learning system Level 1 (where I'm currently at) then level 2 and then up the Blues "tree"?
Am I missing something?

I have just took the chance of buying this, and on the "THIRD" DVD I am still being taught repeatedely HOW TO HOLD A PICK!
The email sales pitch is very missleading! It is suited for kinder garden students :-(

Hi ButtScratcher,
The Core Learning System is included in the DVD set. So when you're on disc 3, you're on Guitar Fundamentals 2.
It sounds like you're at a more advanced skill level than this, so you'll want to skip ahead to disc 6 where the Blues Level 1 lessons begin.
Thanks for your feedback.

Maybe confusing, but not misleading.

The email sales pitch is not misleading at all. It is perhaps confusing as the administrators have acknowledged here. And why I started the thread.
But, yes, it is suited for kindergarten students. Isn't that the whole point? The system is designed to start one, like me, a kindergarten student, at day one.
With that said, the whole tutorial on how to hold a pick in Guitar Fundamentals 2 I found very redundant (and silly).

Blues Learning System
I cannot seem to get any of the CD's to work. I tried in 3 different laptops with the same result. Is there something else I need to load for them to worK?

Sorry to hear about the trouble. We haven't had anyone else report trouble with the backing track CDs.
As a test, can you try them in a standard CD player?
What happens when you put them in the laptop?

I can't get my DVD's to work and I can't get anyone from Guitar Tricks to respond to my email, messages or 2 phone calls.
