Is anyone aware of anyone making a good 12-string hybrid? For what I play, a hybrid seems like my best option. I've looked at and/or played the Micheal Kelly, the Wechter Pathmaker, and even the really high end stuff like Taylor that I could never even think of buying. They all had the combination piezo and magnetic pickups that make a hybrid a hybrid, but none come in a 12 string version.

I really liked the old Wechter when they were using the Artec three-way system, with a single-coil in the sound hole, a piezo in the bridge, and a condenser mic inside. Their new Fishman electronics is superior for the pure acoustic sound, but the ability to also sound electric isn't there any more. I regret not getting one when the triple pick-up versions were available.

At any rate, are there any hybrid 12 strings out there I'm not aware of, or do I need to replace the pre-amp on my Alvarez and add a single coil in the sound hole to blend with my piezo?
