June Sweetwater Gear Review Giveaway - DigiTech HarmonyMan

Watch My Video Demo Here:
http://www.guitartricks.com/channel/

This month's Guitar Tricks giveaway is the DigiTech HarmonyMan. The HarmonyMan is a harmonizer, intelligent pitch shifter, octaver, and even a tuner. This is a great effect and can really open up some new creative possibilities. We're sure you'll want to have it in your arsenal

Built to Last!

Words you don't hear too often these days and June's giveaway is a road-ready tank of harmony surprise by one of the best names in the biz, Digitech. HarmonyMan is the world's first guitar pedal that generates harmonies based on your chord progression so you'll always be in the right key. A harmonizer, intelligent pitch shifter, octaver, tuner, and third ear all rolled into one. This handy piece will detect your chord progressions and generate the correct harmonies from you or an outside source, like your rhythm guitar player -pretty slick! With this baby you can easily whip up 3-part harmonies and sound like your favorite Queen, Thin Lizzy or Allman Brothers solo or your own fresh creation.

The Harmony Man features an easy to read display, 4 programmable presets and two voices that can be mixed independently of each other. It’s made in the U.S.A. with a rugged build and a simple layout. It can also generate chorus or Leslie-like sounds and the pre-harmony distortion loop makes for great tracking, so when you're bending notes or playing fast it sounds natural.

From Sweetwater:

Modes

Triad Center Shifting Mode lets you create musically correct harmonies based around your favorite chordal structure whether soloing a riff in a specific key or using the sidechain input for chord recognition. Using Scalic Shifting Mode, you can make musically correct harmonies with various shifting depending on the harmony key. Fixed (chromatic) Shifting Mode applies fixed harmony intervals to all notes with the fixed number of semitones selected, while Detune Shifting Mode lets you get a thick overall sound applying a small fixed amount of pitch shifting to the lead guitar voice ranging from 5 cents to 30 cents in both up and down directions simultaneously.

Four Types of Pitch Shifting

HarmonyMan generates harmonies based on your chord progression. It features four different types of pitch shifting depending on which of the 42 different voices are selected. Combine up to two distinct voices in any combination to accompany the input signal: a 3rd or 5th above or below, an octave up, two octaves below, 24 semitones and four detune variations. Simply play the songs you know and love, and when the spotlight cues your solo, hit the harmony footswitch to get amazing multi-part guitar harmonies!

DigiTech HarmonyMan Multli-part Guitar Harmony Pedal Features:

Up to 2-part guitar harmony plus the lead guitar part using musIQ™ technology

Independent selectable guitar voicings; 3rd, 5th above or below, octave above or 2 octaves below of guitar input signal

Edit, store and recall four presets

Straight chromatic shifts from +12 to -12 semitones

Four detune settings

Side-chain for guitar accompaniment

Pre-harmony distortion loop

Special Message for Non-US Members

We deeply regret that we cannot ship contest prizes outside the U.S.

Customs, tariffs, and shipping prevent merchandise from being shipped reasonably between countries.

That is the reason why U.S. music stores like www.sweetwater.com cannot sell to musicians in other countries, even as close as Canada.

We originally intended this contest to be run by Ren in the U.K. but we found that just shipping him the gear was so problematic that it would cost more than the contest itself.

Please accept our apologies for making this a U.S. only contest.
