tone to the bone

The blues tone I dig is with a big muff plus almost any good distortion pedel
thru a small tube amp like a dano or supro. Mike the little amp and run it thru the clean chanel of a larger amp so you can get some volume. I also use this rig for harp and slide. This sound tends to be on the gritty side. definatly not SRV or Clapton. I like this sound becaus you can shape it to define your own sound for the type of music/Blues you play. I'm sure you could probably get this sound with a modeling amp if you tweek the knobs enough, Im not a pureist but I do like the warnth of tubes compared to digital. But hey, thats just me.
