sometimes I turn the switch the tone goes heavier(dull) and sometimes clear(sharp)~

I see other people playing guitar with "killer" sound~
like very metal sound(without any effector),but when I try

Thank you once again~ but I don't understand that ~ Keep your mind aware of where the root note is (C, A, F, G) before the chord is played, then try tragetting the 3rd or 5th or maj7th, etc....
