Microphonic tubes?

Everytime i stop playing on my amp, i hear a little 'whine' or scream come out of my amp when i mute. Is this microphonic tubes? How do i fix it? Thanks.

I have a input dial on a roland recording unit. It gets scratchy if i move it and through certain regions the input meter and moitor volume drop to 0. What can i do to fix this? Can i open her up...

Condensor mic vs. the 4X12"

While i know a dynamic mic is probably best, im stuck with large diaphragm condensor for a 4 x 12" guitar cab...any words of caution or tips to get the best combination from this akward combination...
