new recordings
I finally have several home recordings of mine up at soundclick. My newest one was done with my Peavey Classic 50. I thought it turned out not too bad for the first time. Feel free to give them a listen if you'd like and let me know what you think. You can go to my songs through the link in my signature. at least I hope I did it right

Hey man, nicely recorded. Wish I had equipment to record stuff as clean as that. What you need is some bass in there and a wailing solo over top and it's prime man. Or vocals. Something to fill in the rest of it. Cool progression tho.

All I did to record it was plug a Shur SM57 mic up to my soundcard, and place it infront of one of the amps speakers, and recorded it with acid pro. nothing fancy, actually a very striped down set-up, but it does what I want it to.

BTW, if I could solo, it would have one, but I can't, so it doesn't:(

Once again nicley done. I'm going to record some wah stuff at soem point. But great job.

PRS - very nice dude.. the recordings sound really good bro!
how did you record it? was that thru the pod too? I use my laptop to record stuff thru my pandoras px4 and it comes out ok but it has a tinny sound to it... I should have something up by the beginning of next week.. |
for the classic 50 recording I miced my peavey classic 50 with an SM57 and went straight into my soundcard. For the 12-string recording I pluged my 12-string into 1 channel of a yamaha powered mixer and an SM57 in a 2nd channel and placed it close to the soundhole of the guitar, then balanced the 2 channels and went from the RCA outs of the mixer to the RCA ins on my soundcard. The rest of the stuff was done with a PODxt and POD Pro, can't remember which was done with which though.
