getting rid of backround buzz

right now I'm in the process of recording a song.

I got guitar bass and drum down right now. The guitar has sum buzz behind it and it's only noticibly when I go into the mellow part of the song. Not extremely noticable but its there. how do I get rid of it when I edit it.

I have (sonar 3, sound forge 7, cubase sx2, acid 4, and some other software)

The trick is to get rid of it before if ever hits the tape. Amp buzz is a bitch.

If you want to get rid of noise while you're not playing your guitar, a gate might do the trick.
If you want to get rid of noise in the background while you're playing, EQ'ing/filtering is your only hope.

If it's a steady buzz at a certain frequency you might be able to EQ it out.
Alternatively if you can get one, use a DeNoiser to gently roll off the buzz during the quieter passages.

yeah I can EQ it out, I've already done that. but it suffers when I EQ it because the buzz is on a high frequency, and I like the highs on the guitar. I dunno. I have a rack with a gate and compressor in it. I'll just run thru it when I record.

Well for your problem it works for me try turning your gain down a bit or where ever it sounds good

HAve you tried recording with a Line6 V2 Pod ?

They go for about 100 bucks on eBay.

I'm actually looking into getting an XT POD soon. But first I'm picking up the Line 6 vetta II combo. Man is that a hot amp.

One time I tracked it to a light plugged in to my surge pretector.
