Alcino 5/Ceramic magnets

Hey guys.

Yes it's that time again, time for another stupid question from myself. :D

I was wondering, what's the difference between an Alcino 5 magnet, and a Ceramic magnet? Advantages/Disadvantages? Can the two be used in a combination? Say Alcino 5 neck pickup magnet, and a Ceramic bridge pickup magnet?

Also, what does all this mean: PAF Joe| Wiring: 4 conductor, Output: 272mV, DC Resistance: 8.26K.

Thanks again.

272mV = 0.272 Volts
This is to compare the outputs of pickups against each other (higher or lower output).

DC Resistance: 8.26K
This is the ohmic value of the coils resistance measured with a constant DC ... The AC resistance of the same conductor is about 20% higher at 50Hz freuquency.
I don't know if this value is usefull to know , but it should be since they mentioned it.

I understood the output thing. But didn't have a clue about the other terms. I was never really anygood at electronics. This also sorta links in with my problem in the other thread. :(

So what's the difference between the two magnets?

I really donno the difference between the two types , but they sure must differ sonicly (you know , bassy ,twangy , muddy , stuff like that) ... I guess you'll have to depend on user reviews on the models you wanna buy.

Does anyone else have any idea on what the differences are? Adv/dis-adv etc?

Maybe Doc? ...Lord?
