thanks... again since the pic is about three years old, and i've spent a lot of time in the gym and not eating meat since then, it doesn't really bug me. if he ran into me and saw that i have arms bigger around than most people's legs and neck muscles that can stop bullets i don't think that "fat" would be the first thing to pop into his head.

Yes, please do explain to us all how you got buldging muscles yet you dont eat meat, considering meat is a great source of protein and protein helps build muscles along with exercise..From my 5 years experience of goin to the gym and weightlifting I dont recall fruits and vegetables helping me gain as much muscle as much as meat did (Im talking about healthy meat..not the meat u get from Mc Donalds)..By saying that you arms are bigger than most people legs yet you dont eat meat (the protein in meat is a large factor in gaining muscle)..it makes me think that your lying and that this is just some interent persona that is supposed intimidate people

Ummm... there are some vegetables (or are they legumes?) that actually have more protein than meat. Also, meat protein is totally different than protein from non-meat sources and is harder for the body to use.

Or what about fish?

I consider fish a meat...Eggs have the highest "complete" protein percentage in them and by complete it means that the protein has all the needed amino acids that the muscles require
Now incase I mistated it... you dont have to eat lots and lots of protein to gain muscle but check any weightlifting book or trained..Basically you need a balance of meat and healthy carbohydrates such as rice...but besides that face it..if you wanna get big or whatever your going to eat healthy meat (fish,chicken ect) sooner or later

actually holly nailed it... i eat a hell of a lot of soy... also, i eat a lot of dairy in the form of cheese/sour cream, which builds calcium, and a LOT of legumes. Beans and soy are probably the biggest staples of my diet. i get plenty of protein.

plus, i had enough protein stored up to work with... :D

see a lot of it is that many people who work out get caught up in this "BE A MAN" stuff and what's manlier than eatin' an animal? certainly not pulling a plant out of the ground, soaking it in soy sauce an braising it, then serving it on a bed of bean sprouts and then washing it down with some OJ.

one of my friends/coworkers is a professional bodybuilder, of Persian/Greek descent. we got in a conversation with another friend of ours, who was dumbfounded as to why it was that he worked out twice as much as i did, yet, i was better built and had higher muscle mass than he did. as this professional bodybuilder put it, quite simply, "genetics." my dad is 5'6 and has arms bigger around than mine and a sick amount of muscle mass, and he never works out. i'm the type of person who is just built that way; it's easy as hell for me to put muscle on.

so, i'm sorry, i can't share any secrets with you. i'm just biologically programmed this way. i don't think it's very nice to basically accuse me of being some sort of obese liar who pretends to be built like a tank to deflect insults by 13 year olds about his and his girlfriend's weight. i mean honestly, i've posted here how many times? and when do you remember me saying anything that would indicate that i'm an abject liar? certainly not anything about me being the greatest guitarist ever, like some people who come on here...

Im not caught up in the be the man but I eat meat (such as fish) for more than just protein reasons..They have omega 3 fatty acids which are good for you and I also eat a balance of carbohydrates...

when I see a girl who's extremely thin (i.e. 5'6, 100lbs) a red flag goes off in my mind that says "unhealthy," just like when I see a girl who's obviously unhealthily overweight (i.e. 5'6, 225lbs). human beings, like every other mammal, are designed to store away fat so that a) they don't need to stop every time they need a nibble, leaving them vulnerable to predators and b) so that if something happens within their environment (like a flood, fire, etc) that damages the ecosystem and they have to move on, they can make the trek or wait out whatever bad thing is going on and survive. obviously too much fat is too much fat, but when a girl is all skin & bones it freaks me out.

It's really funny... I'm about 50% Swedish ethnically and I grew up in a Swedish part of Seattle surrounded by Swedes. Scandanavian women are generally on the thinner side of things. I ended up gonig almost exclusively after girls who were short-ish, busty, and had brown hair and eyes. guess my biology is trying to get me to add some water to the genepool.
