Fix my guitar

Hey..i was trying to be a hardass and tweak my guitar.all goes good except when i went to put it back togetther.the only thing i have a problem with is the six springs that are on the pick-ups,2 on each pick-up..i dont remember how they go on.if anyone could help me out i would really appreciate it.thank you.

Are the pickups mounted to a faceplate/ pickguard or do they each have a mounting ring?

Usually there is a long screw that goes through the pickguard or mounting ring, through a spring, and into a threaded hole at the end of the pickup.

That covers most of the makes out there, but you may have something different.

Or if there is no pickguard then usually it would go in this order.
-screw goes through hole in pickup
-spring slides onto screw so it touches underside of p-up (the wider flange of the spring faces the body not the p-up)
-then you screw the assembly into the body using the springs to adjust the height of the p-ups.

..hrmm i cant seem to find a screw..and to they are not mounted onto the body...lemme explain..on the pick up theyre are 6 metal dots...if i removed the white covering that is a different peice,its just a covering.ok well under that either welded or formed to fit it is a magnet..the magnet must have somthing to do with the springs..i was thinking that the two holes on the sides of the pick-up ,i was thinking the small end of the screw could just fit into there..it dosent..the opening is too small.these springs are shaped like a tornado i guess.one end is large and one end is smaller.if this fallowing information helps id he happy if someone could fix it.thanks for the people trying to help but it seems those werent the case:( ..well let me know..later.

I have to admit, that was a brave move on your part to just take it all apart. Hope it all goes back together as easily!
