hello all,...just looking for some advice on what would be the best type of tubes to get for my Fender twin reverb (pretty sure it`s a `75).i tried to ask these guys at the music shop in the closest town, but they just wanted to sell me guitars, and just tried to sell me the most expensive ones,i guess so they could make more.
these are the tubes it has :
4-6L6 GC
3-7025
2-12AT7
1-12AX7A

now a friend suggested that i try out "groove tubes",he said they were alright.just figured i`d ask you all for your opinions before i made any purchases. Thanks.

There was a time (years ago) when Groove Tubes was just about the only source for matched output tubes. Not so, anymore. In fact, the initials GT have come to mean Garbage Tubes in my estimation, because they are all re-labeled product of unknown origin, and no longer give good value for the cost.

Look elsewhere.

definetly give the dude at www.eurotubes.com a call... he's a great guy, awesome service and the best prices I've seen. I'm looking to re-tube my '73 Super Twin and he knew just what I needed and has a full compliment of tubes in stock for almost $130 cheaper than I could have gotten them at my local music store.
