Tapping Help

I believe I have the speed and accuracy problem with tapping down meaning I can get the notes to sound right, the problem I have is that I always seem it make the other strings buzz while im doing it, ruining my whole effect. Does anyone have any suggestion for this...wrong grip perhaps?

Hey, I'm checking it out- we'll see how well it translates to bass. Hehe.
Smart little trick there with the hair tie- the best thing I've ever done with one is fix the windsheild wiper on my old Festiva.
