Hi guys.

Because of my damn flextone 3 with no XLR outputs its practically impossible for me to record any decent chord progressions/track to practise improvising over.

I was wondering whether you know a decent place to get some. Mainly chord progressions, just clean chords would be good, so I can put any style over them.

Thanks alot,

- J

Yeah... but most of my albums either have constant lead guitar over the top or some guy screaming :)

I guess i'll have to record some stuff through the phones output *shudder*

Hey man, it doesn't matter. Well for me personally i mean (playing overtop of another solo). ... Some sort of kareoke (spelling on that probably but i don't feel like looking it up) program comes to mind. You could solo over the verses maybe.

Going midi or powertab? That might work well......

I record through a 1/4 inch jack on guitar.

a very easy way I was able to create a few progressions to practice soloing over was to do just that... I used the phones line out to the line in on my pc and the sound recorder that comes with windows xp or there are a bunch of good free tools out there that will let you edit and loop your track..
then I use the laptop to play rythm section while I use the line in thru the lt to the phones to control the volume and be able to record again, but this time with the solo on it...

it's cheap and cheezy but know what? it works and I didn't spend any money...

Thanks for the input guys.

I'll give it a try. Now i've got to buy another damn jack to jack after some guy lost it in rehearsal. Damn it!

try this software.. let's you record for longer and you can covert it to 2 channels for stereo sound.. I'm still learnin this stuff but to get a few recordings done, this'll do the trick

Nice 1... I can record stuff now, pretty good quality to say its from the phones output too.

Might have to record some stuff to share :)
