Not sure... I would have said that it looked like a Valley Arts from the 80's, but the label on the headstock is looking like a boutique builder...

I found another picture, a better picture, and I couldn't really read the headstock. First letter looked like " P ". Not Peavey though.

I tried to blow up the image and the closest I could GUESS it said was peppy sande :D I'll do a little searchin,, I'm sure some Knopfler fan knows every axe the man has ever played and has it listed... I know the letters are definetly a p and an s ...

whew after mega hours of research, I found out it is a Pensa Suhr. You can get one from Mark Pensa's Music Shop in New York. Knopfler aquired this guitar in 1988 and it's first gig was Nelson Mandela's 70th Birthday... He also has a few others. The builder was John Suhr who is now at Fender. It has EMG pickups and active tone control...
Who's the man, huh?

Hey that's better than what John Suhr wanted. I think I saw one of his guitars STARTED somewhere around 4k. That's not even for a figured top. Add $600 bucks for that.
