A lot of the peavys are good eg 5150, triple xxx and a few others.

So far, the best amp I've ever played has been my Peavey Classic 50. As for shear peal the paint off the walls brutalness, I'd have to say my Peavey Triple XXX head and Marshall 1960A cab. Between these 2 amps I can get any type of tone I want from crisp clean to 80's rock to modern metal and everything in between. And all costing under what you would pay for a high-class botique(doesn't botique basically describe a high quality/dollar amp?) amp, i.e. mesa, bogner, vht, etc.......

Good call on the Peavey classic 50. I didn't have as much use for mine as I thought I would, so I didn't keep it, but I really liked it.
