Me and some friends are going to get hammered and record a really bad Metal song for the sole purpose of submitting it to a local radio station and confusing their staff.
Any suggestions?

I like one hatebreed tune and it's doomsayer. I recommend that.

Iron man. Sing the wrong lyrics and only play the main guitar riff even when doing other parts of the song. And make your bass player go off on some jazzy little off-key background solo the whole time like he's playing along with the mighty mighty bosstones through headphones instead of with you.
Edit- I just remembered you are the bass player.

You guys don't get it, we're not going to cover a metal tune, we're going to write one.

Start looking up metalcore and emo lyrics, like from Odd Project. That should give you some great ideas for lyrics.

If I were going to record a confusing metal tune I'd just have a single note played in a certain pattern for 3 minutes. Maybe dub in some effects later on and have a old church hymm screamed backwards or something.

You could always resite bits of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, you know so of the bits where hamlet is talking to the grave digger, also known as the clown (I think), there is some pretty weird bits of dialog going on there. You should probably have two people doing the dialog.

You should write a very touching, emotional, heartfelt love song.

Strangely enough, there is a very similar song to this, Devolved - Emergence. The intro has half a minute of the one note picked as
-000--000--000--000--. Then goes to a riff that has heavy but tasteful effects. The verse is the same as the intro and the outro, which goes for 2:30 minutes, is the same as the intro too.
Some how they pulled it off and made a reasonable song.
If you wish to confuse, I suggest you start playing a typical love song but sing cannibal corpse style lyrics. Then kick into the metal song.

Damn man. You know, the first tune I ever made Smashing Pumpkins stole from me. It was in E and fooled with the maj 3rd octave on the A and G string. I forget which tune it was by them, but I was pretty impressed with myself. lol.
