Favorite Vai Song

Hey guys, just wanted to try my hand at making a poll.

My oh my I like Tender Surrender. One of few songs I've gotten goosebumps of.. several times.

That was a favorite of mine for a good solid 9 months or so. I played it daily and still never got tired of hearing it. For some reason though, I started to get over it. I guess it was because I had every note memorized from overplay.

Tender Surrender all the way baby. That song is just plain hot.

Makes me happy and want to pick up my guitar every time I hear it.

Even though I love The Attitude Song, Tender Surrender remains my fave.

Aye that's a good song. I had to go with the animal though. The riff in that song is soooo ****ing raw, it makes me wanna break something :rolleyes:

edit: I just wanted to add that "the animal" became my favorite song after I got the "Live in Astoria" DVD. That's my favorite song he does on that set.

Tender Surrender was one of the songs that first made me want to start playing guitar seriously... previous to that I was playing stuff like Green Day, Guns n' Roses, etc., but this song made me want to take my skills to a whole new level.

I like that song on that set too, except for his dancing :D. It's cool.

Whenever I show a person some video of Vai playing, they're always floored by his playing; however, they think he's just too cheese dickish in general. I kinda like his goofiness because it makes him seem more personable.

Even though "Sisters" is my favorite song, I voted for "Blue Powder" because "Sisters" wasn't listed. Powder is kick-ass and one of the first songs I learned to play without sounding like I was strangling a muppet.

I've only heard half those tunes and voted Bad Horsie because I love when artists immitate things like that. Like Becks Freeway Jam or the seagulls on Electric Ladyland's I forget which tune. I also like Juice.

I love all those songs too, but it was really hard for me to only pick 10 choices. Sorry I left some out guys, but the poll options only support 10 choices.

I LOVE Boston Rain Melody. Great tune. I still like Tender Surrender just a tiny bit more.
