need distortion pedal

Now that I have my peavey classic 50 which is perfect for clean, blues, and rock, I need an overdrive/distortion pedal that will let me get some good metal tones. I'm looking for something that will get me in the area of Godsmack and Disturbed type metal chunkyness. Any suggestions?

Digitech makes a custom pedal for Dan from Disturbed, you might look at that.

I think you might be refering to the metal master. I also love the modern van halen tone, and marshall type tones.

I would check out the hotrod distortion by digitech. much nicer sounding than the metal master in my opinion.

I think I'm going to say the heck with an overdrive/distortion pedal. I'm not really going to be playing much if any metal on the classic 50. Plus i've still got my peavey XXX head to play the loud and heavey stuff.
