What is the most appropriate gauges for edge bridge locking tremolo?
I usually use XL .009,.042...

I'm assuming your talking about the Ibanez tremolo.
You can use whatever gauge strings you'd like as long as you adjust the bridge accordingly. Once you find a set you like and get the bridge parallel, don't change your gauge or brand.

No problem.
I just recently went through this fiasco myself. I bought the guitar, didn't know what type of strings were on it. So, I bought my usuals, D'Addario XL .10-46s and put 'em on.
Had to adjust the spring tension (back panel), but now it's level and plays better than when I bought it.

I have just changed my strings set...
My tremolo system is not setting parallel to the surface of the guitar.I remove the tremolo cavity cover plate and tighten the tremolo tension adjustment screws because the tremolo is forward dumped. The problem is that when I retune the strings the bridge rebegin not parallel...
What must I do?
Thanks
