Transylvainia Solo

hey everyone,

my pc has been down a couple days andI was dying to get on here to ask some of you experts on soloing a question.
This is from Iron maidens transylvania.

My question is, do I barre the 12 fret with my index and hammer on and pull off the notes rapidly or do i move my fingers down indivdually onto the frets (basically not barre but move down fast)? either way i find myself stressing a bit to keep up the speed...does it come eventually or is there a tip to doing these insanely fast hammers and pulls?

any input is much appreciated!

I'm not familiar with that solo, but barring creates a few problems. It tends to blend the notes together. I would not barre them.

Just keep practicing, you will get faster at it.

I agree, it tends to ring them off a bit, i guess that your right ill have to hit them individually and just practice it over and over...hate feeling stressed when i play guitar but gradually it'll come i guess :P

Just practice it slowly, making sure you are hitting every note cleanly. Play it all the time, when you're looking on the net at something just play it over and over...soon enough it will be automatic.
