Hi all,just inquiring what kinda tubes does everyone here prefer.
I recently retubed my Marshall head.I replaced the stock tubes(svetlana)with Electro Harmonix tubes.I bought a matched pair of EL34s and 4,12ax7s and had the bias set.I heard they were sposed to sound like the old mullard tubes,well I don't have any mullards to compare to but m amp sounds awsome now.It went from a blunt,buzzy sound with no inbetween,to the smooth sound of a driven JCM800 head.The EL34s have slightly less volume than the stock ****lana's but boy are they smoother.
