Since it's only been a week you shouldn't worry about it. The speed will come in time. Let's say in a month you're
a lot quicker when it comes to changing from a chord to another. Patience my friend, patience. Your guitar playing
hobby will be a life-long journey where you can achieve nothing without practicing.

when I played for half a year my chords were okay...
after 1 year I could do them with my eyes closed and no buzzing.
Just practise them everyday is the trick.
wait till for the barre chords lol If you think this is hard those will kill you :P

Instead of learning songs just try playing a bar of one chord then switch to another.
ie.
C / / / / D / / / /
and when you get good at it the speed with naturally increase.

Practice changing from one chord to another slowly. Speed will come, but make sure you don't go too fast so that it doesn't sound right.
