What effects made up Vai's tone?

I have teach myself on guitar for about 2 years, but always having not much idea with effects. I have a BOSS ME-30 effector, does it good??

I would like to know what effects needed to make up Vai's most used tone?

Let's see if I can break his tone down somewhat for you.I will go backwards from the guitar to his amps:

Ibanez Jem and Universe Guitar to a Boss DS-2 Distortion Pedal Thru a Bad Horsie Wah thru a Digitech Whammy Pedal thru a Bradshaw Switching System Controller(which are all out on the stage)to a Bradshaw Switching System,a Roland SDE-3000,a Eventide H3000,a Eventide DSP4000,a Digitech Whammy,a Digitech DHP-55,a Lexicon PCM80,and 2 VHT Power amps into a Bogner Ecstasy Head and a Laney head which feed Marshall 4x12 Cabs. Big Bucks to say the least.
