Well, I somehow survived a 2 and 1/2 year relationship a while back, and I just got out of an 8 month relationship... I'm about to give up on women altogether... (it didn't help that 4 months ago I moved 1000 miles away from my girlfriend)

Edit: I guess I should offer some advice... buy a half dozen or a dozen of her favorite flower, bring her to dinner, then go out to some secluded place. Bring a blanket and two pillows and just look at the stars while you hold her. DO NOT APPROACH THIS NIGHT EXPECTING SEX (even though you deserve it for buying flowers ;)

give her something unexpected (like writing a song maybe just for her), then just go somewhere where the two of you can have a lot of fun doing activites like an amusement park or something. afterwards you can have dinner on the grass while watching the fireworks on newyear's eve.

Indeed, cook her a meal, and serve her a candle lit dinner. Even if you're no good as a cook, she'll appreciate the trouble you went through to try and please here.

Wait, you're asking for advice only about what to do when the clock turns to midnight? And you're trying to mend things with your girl?

Do you not have a clue whatsoever?

one thing is never ask advice from other people on how to go about fixing YOUR relationship. you gotta thing about it ur self. she's ur girlfriend. whats are the things that makes her happy? the things she loves to do. you know this S***.Do somthing special. make her remember why she first liked you in the first place. (not with expensive gifts or cheeZy S*** like that, be romantic. love dude,)

For whoever asked what metrosexual means, I was going to give you my own definition, but I found this clip off a webpage, and it's worded better than anything that I could come up with.

"This new word, “metrosexual”, will become more familiar in the coming months and years. What is the definition of ‘metrosexual’? It’s the description of a straight, sensitive, well-educated, urban dweller who is in touch with his feminine side and you might just find him in your salon, spa or fitness club; you’ll recognize him by his appearance and I hear these metrosexual males love your adoring stares.

Feeling and acting masculine, these men are comfortable performing Facial Magic exercises, having regular pedicures and facials. Men are finally getting the message that we women have long known – it’s perfectly okay to indulge yourself with services such as massage, facials and nail care.

No longer concerned with gender boundaries, these highly developed, secure men like to shop at fashionable stores then throw on an apron to cook for their family and friends. We welcome these ‘manly men’ as a new breed of the Renaissance man."

Is it a good thing or a bad thing?

TheDirt

That's the bad part of being metrosexual. They're very narcissistic people. The "being in touch with their feminine side" is the good side.

Personally, I'll continue to be a stereotypical can't cook, no fashion sense (because I don't care how I look), hard-working, masculine male.

I cook better than any of the girlfriends I've ever had, but I usually look like I just crawled out from under a truck.

Ha ha yea Metrosexual is becoming a popular word in the UK too, although its early days yet as to most people you have to explain it.
Yea me n the girl are just going to a party Tonite (new years eve) although historically at every social event me n her fall out :( I love her tho cos shes a tits n ass girl n makes me feel at least almost like a rock star guitarist with the token blonde. Nah I love her n all that crap:)

Theres different types of love, the love you have where u just wana be together, mess about n have a laugh, hug and stare at each other, then theres the love you have for ur girl, the first was the love i have for my guitars :)

the fool
12-31-2003, 07:17 PM
but what if the girl messes up with the guitars... hmmmm there's a conflict.

And how are they narcisstic again? sorry- it's a new concept.

TheDirt

Many of them care about their image very much to the point where they begin to like their own image. Many people that look really good are self-infatuated, y'know? That's definately not all of them, though, just a stereotype.

You know, it looks much nicer when you use the quote button underneath the post you want to quote. Like what I just did above. Just a little note, nothing serious.

- Wow. Ok, now, I'm trying to visualize it. Is a metrosexual dude someone like that Reggie character from Archie?

i would never let my girlfriend touch my guitars unless she had some idea of how to use one..especially my new Gibson :)
if she happen to break one of them then all hell would break loose...lol
do what you think is best for the relationship
my 2 cents

the fool

I think that's the main reason I broke up with my ex gf- she touched one of my guitars so she had to go. I remember Dirt saying that nothing is sacred to him but I'm pretty sensitive with my guitars.

Makes me wonder... can you be metrosexual towards guitars? I think I'm metrosexual towards my guitars...
