Hey Guys,
I got a question, see for Christmas my parents gave me money to buy a Les Paul Standard, I'm gonna get one of the new "Gecko" colored ones, and I don't know which neck style to get, the 50's or 60's style, I have rather long fingers and don't exactly know which neck size would be more suited for a person with long fingers, what do you guys think?

Thanks, Brandon

The short scale length of the LP is going to make the neck feel kind of 'cramped' near the body because the frets are so close together. I think you will want the thickest neck you can get. Still, before you drop a pile of coin on any axe, you should try a few of them out. You may find that you're actually more comfortable with the thin neck.

Great Advice, I am going to the local music store tomorrow to try a couple out, they usually keep 2 or 3 LP Standards on hand, so I will try them out to see how they feel...

Thanks, Brandon
