Paul Reed Smith Guitars...Hey guys whats your opinion on this instrument? To a certain extent I must say, its the perfect imnstrument. Now in order fpor me to come to this conclusion it didnt come at the spur of the moment, because believe me Ive tried just about every model known to man, i dont think our quest ever completely ends.)But this instrument has a superb sound to it and its very comfortable. Of course I could get into technical terms, but after years of incessant practice, I think for most of us its safe to say that we rely on our hands and ears...I dont think we are ever finished looking for the perfect tone, because our dissatisfaction is probably our greatest driving force, but its nice to come pretty close every now and then...
Thanks...

I set up and played a friend of mine's a couple years back in N.H. USA and that was a nice guitar.
Anyone that owns one feel free to put me in your will if you want a good home for it! he he.

I think they're generally seen as the guitar to beat nowadays.

The only downside to the PRS gits is that they tend to be the "Cool" guitar to have nowadays. Besides Alex Lifeson and Carlos Santana, Paul must be handing out endorsments like candy 'cause there are some nerds using them nowadays.

actually, Lary LaLonde uses PRS's these days. I guess he still has his old strat, but I've seen the man 4 times and he's used a PRS every time. And as I understand, Lary's hair got REALLY short due to passing out at Alex Lifeson's house.

Paul Reed Smith guitars are the best crafted instrument on the market today. I own a custom 22 and it is my favorite guitar. I am so protective of it that it isn't even funny. It's like a relative. The only problem with the prs guitars is the cost. I'd have 50 if I had any money but I don't so I only have 1. I might save up and get another one though because the tone and playability (in my opinion) is unsurpassed by any other guitar before or since prs started making guitars. Anybody who plays a prs will get hooked. It's like nothing else. Ok, now i'm just rambling but I just want to say I love PRS.

Man, everybody and they mamma got prs's. It seems every newer band is using em. Carlos, 3 doors down, third eye blind, Papa roach, Vertiacal Horizon, Matchbox 20, Creed, and more that i just can't think off. If getting a prs is a fad or something, i wanna be part off it, cause those guitars rock.

Alot of people fascinated by this instrument because so many of the top musicians are using them, and I guess they feel like they are missing something, (basically the way it has been since the beginning of time, we see something that we think will make our musical quest much easier.) But this guitar is more than just a fad, and despite the fact that alot of people think its so cool, its really worth the attention, because it feels and plays very well.
I don't think we are ever completely done searching for the perfect instrument, but in order to find it, you can't go by what others might be uing, you have to use your head. I came across this guitar by accident, I was just in the right place at the right time, and I just knew the sound was right. I'm surprised they're so popular, because they are so expensive, but hrey you gewt what you pay for, oh its true.
