Newbie here,
getting off on the worng foot mebee byt I need help..! Every time I tipe stuff into the address bar of Intenret Explorer it of fers me smuttie destinations. One day this might cause me embarasment. I may be a w*nker but I do't deserve taht. Does anyone know any softwear that I can trust and that won't cost me but that will cure my computer?

Sounds like a virus. Once you get it taken care of, I suggest that you be more careful of running things you download such as XXXPORNOSEX.mpg.exe. Things like these aren't always what you expect.

Ha, glad that has, and hopefully never will, happened to my computer. Then again my mom just discovered parental controls on AOL. I've had AOL since I was in third grade, and now all of a sudden I'm sophomore in high school and have parental controls. Oh well, I just get on her screen name and change it every time I get online. Takes about 2 minutes of my time. Its not the matter though its the princible of the thing.

He's talking about the "autocomplete" function when you're typing URLs in for instance Internet Explorer. The only way I know of to get rid of those URLs is:

STOP VIEWING PORN SITES.

You can turn off autocomplete under tools-options-content in Internet Explorer, I'm not sure about AOL.

There might be a better free anonymizer out there, I haven't checked in a long time.

You don't have to download anything to use it. It used to be entirely free but now it has a bandwidth limit per day for its free users. If you have a high speed connection you'll have to find something else because I don't think it allows non-paying users to stream data through it.

Another thing- if your'e using an anonymizer like megaproxy and you're going to be searching always search from a different place than the site you start from. If you start at google.com, for example, and you have autocomplete still on, it will record what you search for unless you go somewhere else to search or at least go somewhere else and come back. Then it doesn't keep track of anything.

Sounds like adware/spyware.
Go to download.com and get 'spybot search and destroy'.That might get rid of it.If not,then just buy a good adware killer program.

If you frequent porn sites and wander around,your asking for a sex dialer or other unwanted program.

I use SS&D, but I didn't get it for porn. If you're plugged into a network at just about any college it's a really good idea to brace yourself against spyware.
