AC/DC!! Angus is just amazing live. They defanately put on a great show and keep you entertained. they show a hillarious cartoon during "hard as a rock" and have a huge blow up doll on stage for "whole lotta rosey" and "hells bells" just sends chills down your spine when all the lights are off and the bell starts ringing. Truely an amazing group.

I saw Metallica on their cunning stunts tour and that was amazing, one of the best concerts I've been too. But above that one, without a doubt the BEST concert I have ever seen that blows all other shows (in my opinion) out of the water was Tool's Lateralus show I saw on my birthday last year. The visuals were incredible, the sound was enormous and chilling... phenomenal.

I've seen a lot of "things" in my life. I dig a lot of styles & artists.
-But I must say, hands down -without a doubt; for artistic quality, audio quality, visuals, the whole experience, it was "DAVID GILMOUR" ("About Face" tour).

UNREAL.

Shawn Lane by far, or Allan Holdsworth.

One of the two, Lane was just so amazing.

You know, I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan, and I love Gilmour's playing, but after watching the Pulse video who knows how many times and the new David Gilmour live DVD, I think I would say that where Roger Waters went for cool and interesting (in terms of live shows), Gilmour goes for flash and mass-market coolness.

As a guitar player, I think Gilmour is at least top 10, but as a band leader/visionary, I think Waters definitely has him beat.

Pink Floyd outside at Camp Randall in Madison Wisconsin, complete with laser light show and an incredible sound system. A true religious experience. FM

@Dreamryche: I also saw Dream Theater on the World Tourbulence tour, and thought it was great, however I recently saw Symphony X live, and it was ten times better. Not to say that Dream Theater don't rule (I'm seeing them again in February), but Symphony X have to be experienced to be believed. Russel Allen is easily the best singer and one of the best frontmen in metal today, and Michael Romeo's chops are just inhuman. Besides, they create such an amazing atmosphere, it cannot be done justice with words. By far the best concert I have ever attended.

@Sambob: You've seen Shawn Lane live?! Now THAT is something I would have given my left testicle for! Rest in peace, Shawn...

I saw the original Kiss at their last concert with Skid Row. It was crazy, and great.

Kenny G and Michael Bolton. They walked around the coliseum too.
