floyd rose whammy bar

I recently bought a tremelo bar for my floyd rose. I dident know the size of it so the shop assistant gave me a medium sized one. He told me to make sure it fitted by turning it the opposite direction when applying and it should 'drop in'. He also said if I applied and it dident fit then my floyd rose's insides would brake.
I'm desperate to fit it on so could any of you shed some light on the matter?

You should take the guitar to a certified profesional and let him see if its gonna fit. I would'nt try it if your unsure. In these types of situations, I always ask a pro.
