View Full Version : multi effects racks. HELP!!!!!

ok i have a question about multi effects racks, what do you do with them??? R u supposed to put them where all the knobs and stuff on your amp are???? because it looks like to me that you have to connect them to some thing . i dont have one but can some one please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

You put them in a rack (normally a protective box, hollowed out, with screwholes on each side of the box.

Rack units have inputs and outputs just like your stomp boxes. You route your signal to the rack and patch the different units as you like. The rack may be in the amp effects loop or first in the chain. Many players combine stomp boxes and rack units to get their sound.

I've seen many rack effects but I've never seen an actual rack to house them. Do you have to make your own or do some companies make these?

companies make them.. tho I guess u could have a go at making your own out of some bits7pices from out of the garage http://www.guitarforums.com/gtubb/biggrin.gif
