Hey Gang,
Here is the new improved, remixed re EQed version of an old song "Dreaming".
Any constructive criticism would be good.

This song was originally recorded on a D1600 and has been edited in Sonar

First let me say, I am a big fan of your work.

Second, the main differences I could hear were clearer vocals because the instruments seemed to be turned down?? And through the song I could hear the clean guitar ALOT better.

Cheers Dude, I haven’t finished with it yet however I will post changes as they happen.

I still need to sort the mix (sp. backline during vocals) as I think I was a bit over zealous turning down the guitars and pumping up the bass. I may add a little LP rhythm PU just breaking up lead, not running up and down scales just long sustaining notes.

Wow... great sounding mix!!! I guess that's what $15K will get you these days!

I like the idea of a sustained lead guitar line; I think that would add a lot to the song.

Also, the breakdown outro is cool. I'd definitely keep that section.

One thing is that I can barely hear the distorted rhythm guitar... that's most likely either on purpose or because of my cheesy computer speakers.

One more thing - where did your accent go?

Tee He, the accent is still there!

There are three guitars lines:
1) A fairly constant PRS hi-gain deal,
2) A much more syncopated slightly distorted (strat through a tube screamer into the Korg analogue in) and
3) A dirty sounding strat slide thing that comes into the right speaker starting the riff before the chorus and going right through the chorus.

I’m growing to try to make all of these more distinct with out muddying anything else, and may be stick a limiter on the bass!

Hey there, I've not posted here in AGES, prolly over 6 months, but I downloaded the remixed version of the song, it's a nice sounding mix, although I feel the drums could do with a little more pop, make em sound just that little bit bigger, they sound more like a formality to my ears, although that could well be the vibe you're going for, are they programmed or not?
Overall the mix is sound, everything has it's own space, although in my mind, the drums could have a little more, without affecting the other instruments.
Bearing in mind I'm listening on a crappy laptop, so it could well be my speakers!

It sounds like a New-Age version of The Beatles. I dig it!

I played the drums on this one (DTExpressII) which is why they sound a little odd!
