I Bought my self a new Boss GT 3's, but i think the one that i had is a factory error because it got a very noisy Hum even after i turn on the noise supressor and turn the level until about 70.
If there's anybody who got any idea what should i do about it,please give any comments.
My previous effects was the boss ME 8

I am not sure what device that is, but i have had lots of hum problems over the years.

the first thing to do is to take the device to another house and plug it in there. hum problems are usually caused by the electrical system you plug the audio device into.

I once had a nasty hum from a gallien-kruger bass head that only happened in my apartment. When I took the head to the store, no hum!

Try this first before you decide the unit is defective.

Hope this helps.

you can even try a different room, I get that around here too. Especially close to the fencer (we have a horse, therefore we have an electric fence which makes a nice "click.......click.......click......" noise).

I have the same problem with mine. All I do is turn the sustain to 50 and everything else I jack way up. The sustain is what makes the buzzing sound for me. It only does it when I'm not playing, though, so it doesn't usually bother me. And when it's at 50 it's not that noticeable.

BUMP! I know someone else here knows how to work one of these things. Anyone else have trouble w/ the hum?

My GT-3 can be very noisy in a live situation and using a patch that is heavy with distortion + compression. I'm not sure if it's the unit or the electromagnetic environments I find myself playing in that is the problem. I've pretty much stopped using it for gigs.
