Has anyone ever seen, heard, or guesstimated about the existence of a hardtail replacement for a floyd rose routed guitar. (it's recessed and a licenced too) If this request is to far reaching i suppose i shall have to block that demon bridge, but if it's possible i'd like to replace it with a hardtail.
thanks

No one I know has ever done that. Mainly because, though the floyd rose is bulky and hard to maintain, when you buy it, you've usually got your heart set on it. But I guess that since you just want a hardtail for slight affect as opposed to constant divebombs (I'm assuming) you would want to. Well, I can't say whether it can be done or not, because I'm not sure. If it can, though, I doubt it would be worth the cash since everything about a floyd rose is expensive. I'm sure it costs at least one paycheck to replace it with a hardtail.

i have a floyd rose and i've been with guitar for a lil more than a year. [so yeah i'll ask stupid questions]
now i recently had it the strings gauged up to 10 from 9
and surprise surprise my bridge isnt completley paralel, i had posted this message before and someone told me cus i got and incomplete setup, and yeah it did seem starnge that i had to tune it at least once a week [i didnt even use the tremolo]
anyway.... i went to show em the discrepancy and surprise again they werent bothered with helping very much cus its only a little discrepancy.
ok so my 2 questions please:
is a discrepancy of like 5 mm worth hastling - i think so cus its gotta be exact i mean thats the whole reason i did get the FR.
and 2 how can i fix it? i unloosened all the locks and flattened all the strings, tuned them to pitch [ i tune to e] several times before locking and then fine tuning again but still bridge tilts upwards...do i have to tighten loosen anything from the inside??

Try tightening the springs?? I'm not too good with this technical hoohah
anyway, i had my heart set on the floyd, but being 15 i'm subject to change my mind. I messed up by tightening the springs in the back (while the bridge was parallel) in order to tighten the strings up a bit. basically, i screwed up the intonation and i don't really know how to fix it or want to make that attempt.
so i'm just gonna take it to guitar center and tell them to fix the intonation and ask about blocking it (if they do that or not) after blocking it, i'll tighten the springs to the point of breaking (or just before) and be happy with my new, solidified kramer licensed floyd rose tremolo bridge system
