What is that sound you call squeal? It sounds like an ultra-sound. Wierd. Da*n.

You're talking about pinch harmonics, they take a helluva long time to really perfect, its a wierd technique. It involves holding the pick very close to the point and plucking with you're thumb as you're picking, hard to describe. Practice, and turn the distortion way up, only way to get them.

yeah it's kinda like squeezing the pick and simultaneously touching the string while you pick it. If you move your right hand around to different positions you can get lower or higher harmonics too.

I don't wanna drive this into the ground, but I think the more you hear from different people, the more perspective you can get on the subject - so here's my explanation.
When attempting a pinch harmonic, move your thumb near the point on the pick. As you move the pick across the string, have your thumb swiftly brush the string right after you pick it. Try it in different positions over the pickups and you'll find the sweet spots. (Don't forget to try it over the fretboard)
Once you get this trick down cold, try it without a pick. Just your index finger and thumb. It works - I use it all the time since I usually play with my fingers. Also, try using different objects, like a coin or a paperclip or something. It'll give you different timbres.
For another trick with harmonics, see my trick called 'Picked Harmonics' in Current Tricks (May).

Yeah, dig in the string with your thumb. Now, I dont know why but the only sound that I can get with my fingers is a artificial harmonic (nothing to do with pinched).
Ah, don't forget to pull up your trem bar after doing a pinched harmonic.

thanks a lot guys! I practiced it for a while and I finally got it! Well...first I practiced and then I started playing normally and there it came... I was bending the string and it was really nice to hear this ultrasound coming out of my guitar! Then I realized how to do it. Thanks a lot!
