I'm just getting into righting my own music and I just can't seem to come up with chord progressions that sound good together. All I really know about right now is I IV V and that sounds pretty good especially when I play ska. What other chord progressions would work for ska, punk, or blues.

some typical progression are,
II V I
II III VI
III VI II V I
V II IV I
really any thing goes, just figure out what key you are in and experiment.

Hi,
One thing that will really help you with chord progressions is theory and harmony. You may find some good books on those subjects, but you will probably need to take a few lessons or a class at a local music school/college to get a good foundation.
