C+13sus2sus4(b9), Cmaj9add4add6(b13)(b5), Cm/maj9add6add11(b13)(+11)/E???

Now, I very well doubt these chord are actually used often. :D. But they are probably the longest ones you can write. The last one contains NINE notes. Wheww!!

WOW , noticingthemistake you should change your nick into "Theory Man" !

These are (non-popular) Piano chords , yeah ?

Yeah if I could change my nick I would, I am sick of it. It was the name of the band I was in when I first started posting, and I didn't expect to be posting for this long. But yeah those chords have probably never even been played on piano, they sound so horrid! :)

Stacking scales can make for interesting chords too. A simple one is the major 13th chord, which is the major scale. The minor 11th (b13) is the minor scale. Just a thought.

I didn't mean your current nick ain't cool , what I wanted to say is that you're the "Theory Man" here ... A cool nick for you may be "Theory Monster" . ;)

A silly question for you : If I managed to play all 12 notes as a chord on a piano using all 10 fingers (and probably extra help from my toes ;) ) , can we call it something like "maj.min.add9add13.blahblah"?

Oh I know you didn't mean that man. I was just saying if I could change it I would, I just get bored with things quickly. :) It would be cool to be able to change it to something new.

second question.. haha. Yeah you can write it any number of ways. One way would be Cm9add6add4addb9addb5(+11)(b13)/E5. That might actually be the longest chord name, but I don't think anything like that is indicated it music, since the (addb9, E5, and addb5) breaks the rules of a Cm9 chord. But the point is in writting a chord is be able to make sense of what you wrote.
