Best guitarist polls

Dunno about you lot but I'm bugged by best guitarist polls in guitar mags as all they do is list who's currently hot and who's been famous for years. Frankly, I could reel off a 100 undeservedly less well-known players who can play the ass off most other nominations. I'd be more interested to see how top players themselves would vote, then we might see world class 6-stringers like Danny Gatton, John Jourgenson, Jerry Donahue, Roy Buchanan, Albert Lee, Allan Holdsworth, Isaac Guillory etc etc getting their due respect.
