Orange 10W Combo Amp

Haha ok I know it's a cheap amp (First guitar/amp, Im poor, and I've heard Orange is good)

Well anyway, I was wondering how can I get more of a crunch/distortion effect. I don't really know how to describe it. Here are the controls on the amp

Low -
Mid |- EQ
High -

Master Volume

Gain 1
Gain 2

Each knob goes from 0-10

Anyway, is it possible for you guys to give me specific number to set them to get a nice crunch/grind sound? Is it just my amp that is causing it to be kinda weak and not very distorted? I've tried turning them up all the way and experimenting but I can never find that right sound. I especially dont really understand the EQ, I mean.. I get the point of it, but I'm lost as how to correctly configure it.

Oh yeah, I have an Ibanez Talman Tm40 Semi-Hollow body (My friend told me hollow bodies weren't great for distortion, could this also be a factor?"

Usually the crunch sound will come from humbuckers and a good quality amp. Sometimes a small powered amp just doesn't have the power to make a good sound, or a crunchy sound in your case.
