The best lube!

I love Fast Fret, but I'm looking for an inexpensive alternative that will NOT soften my callouses or gunk up my strings.

What are you guys using? How do you like it?

I've tried Lemon Oil, but I'm afraid I'm gonna soften my rosewood fretboard.

Any suggestions?

don't use lemon oil...great for periodic cleaning but constant applications will ruin your fretboard.

I've tried everything you can imagine and after years and years the very best thing I've found is corn starch. Or baby powder that is 100% pure cornstarch.

Super fast, keeps your hands dry, and is cheap. And, if your'e tyring to cultivate that rock bad boy image you can shake it all over your nose for that coke fiend look http://www.guitarforums.com/gtubb/wink.gif

but it will get into things like foot pedals and whatnot so be careful
