Hey...in your opinion what would be the best guitar duet of all time? You can include living or dead guitarists and what song they'd play.....my vote goes for Randy Rhoads and Yngwie Malmsteen playing Bach's Fugue in G minor

Gotta be Jeff Beck & Ritchie Blackmore on Bach's "Tocatta and Fugue in Dm".

that's impossible, randy died a year or two before yngwie even came to america

Shawn Lane and Carlos Santana playing Coltrane's Giant steps. Let's see how many bars it would take for Carlos to start playing one of his old "I'm lost, and this veryveryvery fast three-finger pull-off lick will make me seem like God's gift to guitar players" licks...

finally someone who doesn't like (or seem to like) carlos santana....what about eric clapton????....i don't like his playing much

I grew up on Clapton, but apart from some of his Cream stuff, I agree with him that he's really only a songwriter...

Well if Rhoades died before he met up with Yngwie it would be pretty hard to record a duet wouldn't it?

I like Angus and Malcom Young. Steve Vai and Mike Kenealli(SP?) were good on the first G3 tour too.

For a hypothetical one , I'd say Kurt Cobain (Nirvana) & Wes Boreland (Former "Shrimp Bizkuit") playing Paganini's 5th Caprice or Bumblebee in unison ... That would be hella fun. ;)
