I Was Going to Apply to be a Host and it said tht you Are Not Accepting Rock Guitarist!!!!!!! Why!! I Play Metal does That count As rock. Come on... I Worked So Hard for Hours And hours Just to get an MP3 Recorder. And Then I'm fixing to apply and i read the blue Writing that says that you Dont accept rock guitarist!!!! to say The least I'm dissapointed And a Bit Sad Too http://www.guitarforums.com/gtubb/frown.gif . I think what Jon meant by "rock" guitarists was anything rock oriented like metal, blues, soft rock, whatever. Metal is just another form of rock. I probably would've become a host by now, but Jon just wants to make this site more than rock oriented. I'm sure if you email him, he would be glad to discuss it with you. After all he is in charge of that. Nobody else can help you out with your problem but him.

Yo Underwood, sorry if i didn't explain that to you better but badhorsie kinda put across what i didn't say. We are trying to get more country, jazz, and classical peeps in here. to not make it seems not so lacking in some areas and jaugernauted in rock. If we could take every Rock guitarist i'm sure we would, but then it'll be like 50 rock hosts 1 jazz and 3 country, every cat could come over from Guitarwar.com and be a potential host, you see what i'm saying? And it wouldn't represent GT that well, many guitarist would like to learn and branch out from rock or just learn some jazz and country licks but they wouldn't be there. It's all about what GT is in demand for and that's diverse types of music than the present we have now. Well- roundedness in one word. GT means no disrespect to you or your ability to play the guitar, just the well-roundedness is what JB is working on.

I think the other thing that happened too was, cause of the amount of rock guitarists out there, it was getting to the point where so many of em were applying we couldn't keep up with it.
As hosts we had to listen to each one and vote on em & I don't know about the other guys but I remember one time spending a coupla days downloading sound files & reading so many tabs I couldn't remember who was who.
I'm sure if a rock guitarist came along with exceptional abilities 'far beyond those of mortal man', he'd get in no problem tho... http://www.guitarforums.com/gtubb/cool.gif
