This is a piece of Mr. Dave Murray's solo on Hallowed Be Thy Name. How would you play it?
I've almost got the idea. I know how to perform the pull-off's, but I'm wondering: Are we supposed to mute the high e-string with the right-hand to avoid undesirable sounds, or is there a professional way of performing the pull-off's on the b-string without getting noise from the high e?

Good question...I have managed to play this lick without muting the E string....Every Maiden song has a similar lick to this so play it slowly with a metronome because you will find again in Maiden solos - Murray solos!

Hi jleraan. When I play something like that I would usually use my right hand to mute the low strings so they dont produce any unwanted harmonics that will make it sound sloppy. When performing pull offs on the b string ur not suppose to accidentally plug or pull the high e string so thats something technical that needs to be worked on. And to conclude I would say the modern guitarists cliche which is "start it off slow!". :)

Allright, thanks. I'll practise it without muting aswell then.
