Define performance?

for vintage/bluesy tone, a Vox AC15 or AC30 combo or AC125 head, for hard rock and metal a Mesa Boogie of any sort, w/special emphasis on a Triple Rectifier Road King, and for a compromise to both, a vintage Marshall JCM head.
