I need a SLIPKNOT/MUDVAYNE sound.

Im playing on an ESP LTD M-250, similar to alot of "nu-metal" bands. I have a Fender Frontman 25r 25watt amp and a Boss Metal Zone distortion pedal. I want a sound thats dark, and slipknot like, not all peachey and jolly like greenday... ANY HELP!?!? :p

For new heavy & dark tones, crank up the gain & bass as far as you can, and keep the mids very low (low doesn't have to be zero).

Dropped tunings helps for sure, try tunning to C# (1.5 steps down) or get a 7-strings , have fun.

it got a good sound that way, very dark but ill take more suggestions, because even the greats know more than 1 technique
