Who here is ugly?

Actually I kinda mean... who here is sick & tired of the stereotyped image of a rock guitarist being a skinny guy with long black hair.
I just get the feeling sometimes that we may be missing out on some amazing, ugly musicians because the 'media' doesn't give them as much attention as 'pretty' people.
Like if Van Halen had been a fat, bald mongoloid with acne, would he have ever made it on the cover of Guitar Player magazine?

While image is important it aint the be all and end all. Do you have long hair like? If yeah, did u only grow it to try and live up to the only rock cliche look?

Me, I’m fat, balled, old and ugly and very proud of it! I think too much emphasis is placed on looks in this age of mindless consumerism and often what you see is not what you get and what you get turns out to be just the packaging.

Image is pretty important maby not for guys but definitly for chicks. If you have long black/blonde hair, pumped body, playn´ with tight leather jeans and no sweater and have a cig in your mouth, cowboy boots and a cowboy hat and if you´re in right music style and ain´t afraid of tones alcohol and drugs and AIDS by that matter you would be considred as one of the greatest players in the world. You would be considred to be even at pent house magazine cover man.

But as far as I´m concern, I´m satisfied with medium long black hair, normal body, metal t-shirts and a la Zakk Wylde jeans (jeans from 70-s), sport shoes, little booze an NO DRUGS and AIDS.

But most of all, playn´ good is the only thing that metter to me.

I ain´t got no damn AIDS man. I wrote NO drugs and NO AIDS. Since it´s called Sex Drugs and Rock n´ Roll I figure that sex dosen´t mean pumping only one chick sooner One tousend chicks and it´s plesent but dangerous risk rock stars take. But I guess that they don´t think about it ´cause they´re allready eight miles high while doing that.

Slash said once, guitar players always gets the best chicks. I hope he´s right.

Seriously, look at johnny winter or SRV , both very good guitar players with almost insane technique for blues people. Both are butt ugly..
i think i can be a really good blues player :)

Man this AIDS thing have gone too far. I´ll try and explain it again NO DRUGS AND NO AIDS. I don´t think I can explain my self much better and after all what are condoms for? They might f*uck up the feel a bit but you can at least feel safe when bangin´ a chick you´ve just seen for the first time in your life.

Here's a nice thought for ugly people like me. The more you have the more insecure your partner will feel that you will leave them, the more stupid paranoid arguments you'll have, the more constricted your social life will be and the more you'll want to leave them. This said I should be happier if the vessel of my soul where a fine enamelled flagon instead of a non-spill baby cup full of sticky dribble! Still, at least I'm not going to cry over spillt milk.
